PARISH HISTORY
Marian:
First church was built in 1901 by Fr P Bucas. In 1923 Marian was granted separate parish status. The current church was built in 1927 and was dedicated to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. In 1924 the parish built the convent/school. This was run by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1946 a new parish school was constructed and dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The school was closed around 1989. The current presbytery was built in 1929.

Mirani:
First church was built in 1901, current church constructed in 1965.

Mt Charlton:
The community od Mt Charton has always been part of the Marian Parish. The current church was built around 1949 during the time Fr Lynam was Parish Priest. Churches at Mt Jukes and Kuttabul were also built in similar design around this time, but only the Mt Charlton Church remains in use
